the President of FSX, Inc.

We hope to bring ‘oshibori,’ a representation of Japanese hygiene and hospitality, to the United States.

FSX, Inc. was founded in 1967 in Kunitachi City, Tokyo, as Fujinami Towel Service, a rental oshibori company. To mark our 50th anniversary, we rebranded as ‘FSX, Inc.’ with a renewed focus on redefining the ‘centrifugal force’ of growth and the ‘centripetal force’ of organizational unity for the next 50 years. By blending new technology, design, and science with the uniquely Japanese oshibori tradition, we hope to reinvent this longstanding practice and explore its full potential. We are committed to reimagining oshibori and aim to share our belief in its impact in America – and, through that, spread joy to as many people as possible.

We strive to create “moving hospitality experiences” for our customers through our products and services. We constantly ask ourselves if our work is leading to the creation of “new forms of hospitality.” More importantly, we aim to “spread joy worldwide,” beyond Japan, by transitioning from traditional Japanese oshibori (wet wipe) to a global take on Oshibori. Our team is committed to becoming the leading international company in this field.

What is
Oshibori?

Oshibori is more than just a towel—it’s something that can ease tension, soothe fatigue, and uplift the spirit. Offering a cold oshibori on a hot day or a warm one on a chilly day brings joy to both the body and the heart. Oshibori embodies the spirit of Japanese hospitality, a tradition that dates back over 1,300 years. It’s said that 300 years ago, inns across Japan would provide a bucket of water and a towel to refresh weary travelers. FSX encapsulates this spirit of hospitality, delivering our Oshibori in the best possible form, anytime and anywhere.

VB-COSME-

VB-COSME- is an advanced version of VB, a Japanese patented hygiene technology with manufacturing rights in cosmetics. VB has the potential to enhance hygiene while cleansing, enriching, and hydrating the skin. This Japanese technology has also earned manufacturing rights in the cosmetics category. At FSX, we incorporate this innovation into all our Oshibori products, ensuring that every item we produce includes VB. Over 800 million Oshibori infused with VB are made and used annually in Japan.
